We presented a biosensor based on a dielectric grating onto a glass substrate. It falls into the class of optical biosensors as a shift in resonance is used to monitor changes of the refractive index of the medium above the grating itself. Formation of an E. Coli biofilm onto a silicon nitride grating has been observed and its response to antibiotics has been tested. |
